It is possible to stop visiting the Byzantine Cuba, Gurne dell’Alcantara and Lauria Castle (Castiglione di Sicilia), all moving through an off-road path.
TOUR MONTAGNA GRANDE
DURATION: 3.30H PRICE 120€
In this excursion, lasting about 3.30 H, we will visit the villages of Francavilla di Sicilia and Castiglione di Sicilia.
Along the way we will meet two medieval castles, famous for their old-world charm. Moreover, we will visit Montagna Grande in Motta Camastra.
The tour finishes with the visit of the entire valley and the river: from the source to the mouth.
TOUR QUAD ETNA
DURATION: 4.30H PRICE 150€
Tour Quad Etna, starting from the Alcantara Gorges, we will continue along a dirt road through and nature trails for 4.30H excursion.
We will visit Castiglione di Sicilia, renowned town of wine, that offer a suggestive view over the valley. The trail continues towards Linguaglossa, from where you can admire the Vulcanetto of Mojo, covered with plants typical of the Mediterranean. We will pass through several lava flows dating back to eruptions in different times of the history of Etna, in order to discover the several lava flows such as the cave of Corruccio. We will arrive to Etna Nord at a height of 1850.
