Discover our excursion at Alcantara Gorges and the tasting of Sicilian Wines. One of us drivers will pick you up at your accommodation and will take you to the meeting point. Walking inside the canyon you can observe the walls made by basaltic lava flows, that once cooled, created prismatic and hexagonal shapes.
Through this path, you can discover the River Park. You will be astonished by the incredible rock formations that characterize the Alcantara Gorges. You will reach some small lakes, which are located in the Alcantara Valley, getting to the river. The tour will end along the trail which will take you to the Church of Santa Domenica, also called Byzantine Cuba. This palaeochristian or byzantine chapel preserves precious testimonies, a little hidden treasure. At the end, you will reach on of the oldest wineries on the slopes of Etna, rediscovering flavours and treasures of Sicily.
On the estate you can savour a tasting menu that includes:
6 glass of wines: 1 of sparkling wine, 2 of whites, 2 of reds and 1 of fortified wine carefully selected by sommeliers to enhance the uniqueness of typical Sicilian products;
Appetizer, first courses, dessert and coffee (menu suitable for vegans/vegetarians/gluten intolerant and for children on request).
